Don did this out of anger toward his father who abandoned the family during the depression. Don lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Allen’s parents, Earl and Letha Stratton Pippin are deceased. Allen attended school in Richmond, Indiana. He dropped out of high school in tenth grade for lack of interest in academics. He messed around for a short time and then lied about his age (seventeen) and enlisted in the US Air Force. He spent twenty years in the air force and retired at the age of thirty-seven. His assignments and tours of duty took him to the following places: Samson New York Air Force Training Center for boot camp, Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois for training as a jet engine technician, Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, Wright Patterson Air Force Base where he met and married his first wife from Fairborn, Yocoda Air Force Base Japan, Moody Air Force Base in Georgia, Kadena Air Force Base in Japan, Second assignment to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Hickam Air Base in Hawaii, Scott Air Base in Illinois, Tour of duty in Viet Name, and McConnell Air Base in Kansas City where he retired. We don’t mock anyone or judge anyone, unlike those spoiled kids on those brainwashing Disney Channel shows.
