Earthquake Hits Christchurch, New Zealand
Another earthquake has hit the New Zealand city of Christchurch, measuring a magnitude of 6.0 on the scale.
This latest quake follows only 4 months after a larger quake which killed 181 people in the city. This time there have been no reported deaths but the earthquake left almost 50000 people without power when the quake struck just outside of the city. The lack of power is said to be causing problems as temperatures are just above freezing in the city tonight.
The city’s mayor said that more aftershocks were likely over the next few hours and that residents were asked to be careful and mindful of the threats.
Many of Christchurch’s residents are now getting tired of the earthquakes that are hitting the city with such frequency and many are already moving to other cities across New Zealand and Australia.
The city is still building itself back up after the earthquake that hit back in February and the city’s historic cathedral which is still being rebuilt has lost some more of its masonry on this latest earthquake.
The overall cost of the reconstruction of the city following the last set out of earthquakes to hit Christchurch is set to top £7 billion and this latest incident will no doubt increase the bill.

A 4.5 quake struck 10 km east of Lyttelton at 4:21pm and was widely felt in Christchurch. It was 9km deep. The quake followed a 4.4 aftershock at 2:39pm, which was also widely felt in the Christchurch region and located 10km east of the city.
Plus its friken freezing in Chch today & my house only has minor damage. I'm sure its like 2-4 degrees. Imagine how the people in Aranui or Avonside are feeling? Living in there state homes or in houses with cracks down the walls & broken windows?

My XBOX 360 is FREEZING when we fool around Quake 4 ONLINE & offline. SOMEONE HELP. we purchased this diversion twice right away brand new and still the same situation. we purchased my system at launch in november of 2005 and never had a freezing emanate with any game. Now roughly 2 years after i squeeze upheaval 4 and my 360 freezes when personification the diversion online only seconds in to a compare and offline only mins in to the game. Some a single assistance with a resolution please!!

If you purchased it at launch then you might have one of the defective DVD drives which causes some games to freeze after playing them for a while. I had this problem with perfect dark and with oblivion. Call up Microsoft and tell them you have one of the defective drives and even if you are not in warranty they will take it for free because it was a manufacturing defect.
