A 1997 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck was reported stolen between June 6 and June 7 from a residence on Route B, Hillsboro.

A Browning bolt-action rifle, a 12-gauge left-handed Remington shotgun, a 12-gauge right-handed Remington Wingmaster pump shotgun, a 12-gauge over-under shotgun, two 16-gauge Steven's pump shotguns, a Magnum bolt- action rifle, a Winchester lever-action rifle, a .22-caliber single-shot rifle, a 60-inch television and a laptop computer were reported stolen June 7 from a residence on Route H, De Soto.

A 60-inch television was reported stolen June 8 from a residence on Gracie Waggoner Road, Festus.

A .22-caliber rifle was reported stolen between June 7 and June 9 at a residence on Susan Lane, Dittmer.

An Xbox game system and a laptop computer were reported stolen between June 8 and June 10 from a residence on Sycamore Springs Drive, House Springs.

A bed/futon, an antique corner table, four mirrors, an electric drill, other tools, a painting, a cookie jar, clothes, a surveillance system, a pellet rifle, a BB gun, a lamp, dishes, Christmas decorations, DVDs, jewelry, cabinet knobs, a candle holder, rugs and a DVD player were reported stolen between May 19 and June 10 from a residence on Quiet Forest, Imperial.

A 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was reported stolen between June 11 and June 12 from a residence on Seclusion Woods Drive, Festus. The vehicle was unlocked and the key was inside, police reported.

A 47-inch flat screen TV and approximately 25 Percocet pills were reported stolen June 12 from a residence on Flucom Road, De Soto. It was reported to police that dresser drawers had been opened and rummaged through, but nothing else was taken.

A counterfeiting incident was reported June 12 at a residence on Birch Drive, Imperial. The reporting party told police she sold a video game system for $200 to a person who had responded to her posting on the Craigslist Web site. After the buyer left, the seller observed that both of the $100 bills she was given had the same serial number.

A 16-foot homemade trailer, a zero-turn mower, walk-behind mower and two six-foot aluminum ramps were reported stolen June 13 from a residence on Valley View Drive, Barnhart.

A 1994 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was reported stolen between June 10 and June 13 from the premises on Oakvale Road, De Soto.

A Remington semiautomatic 20-gauge shotgun was reported stolen June 13 from a residence on East Mulberry, Barnhart.

I tested by plugging into my cable tv and found that it takes about 10-15 seconds for the unit to warm up to show a video picture. The next BIG complaint, is the volume is very weak. To the degree that if you were the only one in the kitchen and cooking and/or running the water at the sink you would not be able to hear even if it was turned up all the way. Then when it does show a picture it is of very very low quality. To change from TV to Radio or DVD it takes about 6-8 seconds between starting the new feature. The DVD drawer would not open all the way nor shut. This was a disapointment finding it defective out of the box. The remote control is suppose to have a magnet to place against say the refrigerator, it was missing any magnet from the packaging. The screws for mounting were missing as well. - White color looks at home in a kitchen

I really can find no faults, except there were a few things I didn’t try. It has MP3 capability, which for DVD players is normally poor with no random or menu controls. I didn’t try this function yet so I can’t complain. And the remote control battery came dead so I didn’t try that either yet. If either of these two are remarkable I will report back.

Other than that, this display is a tremendous value.

After reading many reviews before buying a product like this, and being very skeptical based on the bad reviews, we decided to give this unit a try. It seems you either love it or hate it. I decided to side with the “love it” extreme. Though it may not be a perfect product, it is perfectly suited for what we’re using it for. I’d like to defend some of the features people were disappointed in:

Ease of mounting – We put it up in about 5 minutes. The holes were aligned on the template just fine, and it came with two sets of screws. Any difficulty might be with cabinets that are recessed or not deep enough. You need a good 18 inches depth to have enough room for cables behind and to operate the controls if cabinets come down over them. We have a corner cabinet it fit perfectly under. The magnetic remote – Mine wasn’t magnetic either. But I’ll live.
