Is Oscar De La Hoya prepared to make a "Golden" comeback as a prizefighter?

The 38-year-old "Golden Boy" has entered a rehabilitation center in California for "drug problems" and began treatment later in early May.

De La Hoya, who beat the world champions 17 and captured 10 crowns in six different weight classes, was one of the greatest pound for pound boxers from 1994 to 2002.

De La Hoya to retire from competition as a boxer after being beaten by Manny Pacquiao in the eighth round TKO loss in December 2008.

"I am convinced that with the support of my family and friends, I will become stronger, healthier person," De La Hoya said in a statement to TMZ in the spring.

The immense glory, De La Hoya and his popularity in spite of this, it is essentially a normal individual Struggling against personal demons.

"It must be hard to have all your gambling problems in the face of the world," said Mike McCarthy, 28, a native of Quincy (Massachusetts) who currently resides in Beacon Hill. "I guess it goes with the territory."

Expect Oscar De La Hoya to fight against his "addiction" with ferocity as he did his opponents in the ring 45.

Hopefully, whether it's a come-back, De La Hoya will again "Golden" and "become stronger, healthier person."

"The Golden Boy", the boxer Oscar De La Hoya, himself has entered a rehab clinic in California.

According to TMZ, De La Hoya has checked the facility in recent weeks and any specific problems, De La Hoya is unknown, it is reported that the boxer is seeking help for substance abuse.

"After an honest assessment on my part, I recognize that there are some questions I need to work," De La Hoya said: "Like everyone, I have my faults, and I do not be one that is afraid to acknowledge and address these shortcomings."
