De La Hoya, who beat the world champions 17 and captured 10 crowns in six different weight classes, was one of the greatest pound for pound boxers from 1994 to 2002.

"I am convinced that with the support of my family and friends, I will become stronger, healthier person," De La Hoya said in a statement to TMZ in the spring.

According to TMZ, De La Hoya has checked the facility in recent weeks and any specific problems, De La Hoya is unknown, it is reported that the boxer is seeking help for substance abuse.
"After an honest assessment on my part, I recognize that there are some questions I need to work," De La Hoya said: "Like everyone, I have my faults, and I do not be one that is afraid to acknowledge and address these shortcomings."
"Throughout my career and my life, I've always met every challenge head on, and this is no different," De La Hoya added: "I am confident that with the support of my family and my friends, I will become stronger, healthier person. "
"I demand respect and confidentiality that my family and I go through this process."
De La Hoya has retired from boxing in 2009. He finished with a career record of 39-6 while winning world titles in six different weight classes.
